Information regarding personal data processing

Legal basis and purpose of data processing
Your personal data will be processed on the basis of:
- Article 6, paragraph 1b of the GDPR for the purpose of: preparing to conclude a contract based on your request, submitted by completing the form on the website or by contacting a DCS representative in any other manner, and for the purpose of performing this contract, including all additional services;
- Article 6, paragraph 1c of the GDPR for the purpose of fulfilling the legal obligations incumbent on the controller, including the obligation to maintain and store documentation arising from applicable law;
- Article 6, paragraph 1c of the GDPR for the purpose of: 1f GDPR, because processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by the Controller, in particular: debt collection; conducting court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings; conducting marketing activities; contacting you, including for purposes related to permitted marketing activities, even when they are not directly related to the performance of the contract.
Providing your personal data is voluntary, but at the same time necessary for the conclusion and performance of the contract between you and Domestic Courier Service.
Storage Period
Your personal data will be stored for the entire period of service provision, for the period of reviewing any complaints, and after these periods, until the statute of limitations for any claims expires and the obligation to retain documentation arising from legal provisions expires.
Data Sharing
The personal data you provide may be shared with:
- partners cooperating with DCS to deliver shipments;
- entities providing accounting, debt collection, and IT services to DCS, which process data based on contracts concluded with the Controller and solely in accordance with the Controller’s instructions.
- Entities outside the European Economic Area (EEA) that have not been recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of personal data protection. Personal data are transferred to these entities based on data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission, which are therefore subject to appropriate safeguards for the protection of privacy and the rights and freedoms of the data subject.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data, request its rectification, erasure, or restriction of its processing
- object to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes
- the right to transfer data processed in connection with the performance of the contract and the right to restrict data processing;
- File a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
